PENCH National Park comprises the Indira Priyadarshini Pench National Park, the Mowgli Pench Sanctuary and a buffer. The Park nestles in the Southern slopes of the Satpura ranges of Central India. The river Pench, which splits the National Park into two, forms the lifeline of the Park.
The Park is home to 33 species of mammals, 164 species of birds, 10 species of amphibians, 30 species of reptiles, and a wide variety of insect life. Wild animals found here are tigers, leopards, bison, sambar, chital, wild boar, Jackal and wild dog.
